ALL HANDS
The end of May is upon us and nothing is finished, but I can see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Mast has its first coat of paint. I'm fitting the stays. The bands are on hand. Found a derrick to set it up. Hardware is in the mail (I hope). No mainsail yet!Not ready to make any hard and fast promises, but it looks as if I'd be on my way by the tenth of June.
At present my plan is to go west to Inagua where I want to look at the possibility of being a base for literary research, then on to Fla, inland waterway to South Carolina at least. Back to sea at some point. Thru NYC and stop at Little Neck, Long Is Sd, Buzzards Bay, Boston, and Round Pond. That's at least a month, but not all of it traveling.
Several people have expressed interest in joining for some or all of this. No one has promised, nor am I able to make any promise YET, but the time is approaching when I'll want a better indication of what's available than I have now.
Anyone for sailing?
