    I am sorry not to be there with you, but FL is a long way from VT, and somehow I feel closer to Peter down here on the water, looking at boats in the sun.

    Peter was an inspiration to me for all the time I knew him; urging us to get on with life and live it to the fullest. I think more than anything, Peter was a teacher all his life. For most of the young people he touched, his own honesty and high personal standards were the best example of how to live the right life. He had a deep sympathy for his students who had been thrown into personal turmoil, and knew how to challange them to get their lives straightned out. His high personal standards and abilities were tempered by a true humility which made him such a likeable fellow.

    So I will miss him and think of him often.
